The Two Most Important Days of Your Life

"The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." Mark Twain

Honestly, I spent a good part of my 20s and early 30s searching to figure out who and what I should become, and where I should fit in, as if life held a secret that I needed to uncover. But I had a problem: I never believed that God would make our "why" a secret that caused us to struggle an entire lifetime to find.

I concluded that our "why" is right out in the open. It's to evolve into who we were naturally created to be. That doesn't mean that life will be without struggle, but many times the struggling comes from wishing for the talents, wealth, platforms, and titles we don't have instead of embracing and using the ones that we do. Our "why" leads us to stretch and make full use of everything we we have. The "why" asks us to take our passions and interests and empower them with the things we do best considering our talents, drive, and intellect. Our "why" feels exciting and makes us useful. It creates new communities, opportunities, and platforms. It's not a secret at all. It's doing more of the positive, affirming, and constructive things that we often already find ourselves inclined to do.

Never think that your "why" is less worthy simply because it doesn't lead to great wealth or popularity, which aren't necessary for happiness anyway.

Have a great day, on today my birthday, and as always - I'm wishing you a wonderful life.
